For the youngest

Naturopathy for children

Children are not small adults. They react faster, more sensitively and often surprisingly clearly — for better and for worse. That is why I take particular time over a child's history and choose the gentlest methods suitable for their age. Always complementing the care of your paediatrician, never replacing it.

How I support children

Common concerns

Concentration, ADD & ADHD

Restlessness, difficulty concentrating, dyslexia or a low frustration threshold — a burden for children, parents and teachers alike. I look at the individual causes: nutrition, minerals, exercise, sleep and family structures.

Neurodermatitis & sensitive skin

Chronic skin problems affect small children and teenagers particularly often. Rather than treating only the surface, I look at the gut, metabolism and nutrition — the skin often reveals what is out of balance inside.

Allergies & hay fever

When spring means sneezing, itchy eyes and tiredness for your child: naturopathic support with an eye on triggers and the immune system.

Recurring infections

One infection after another, barely recovered before nursery starts again? For children with frequent infections, the focus is on strengthening — carefully and age-appropriately.

Sleep problems & restlessness

Trouble falling asleep, waking at night, inner restlessness: often there is more behind it than a busy day. Together we look at rhythm, nutrition and stresses.

Tummy aches & digestion

Recurring stomach pain without a clear diagnosis is common in children. Gut health, intolerances and emotional tension are often connected.

How I work with children

Gentle methods — without fear

Not every method in my practice is suitable for children. For the little ones I deliberately choose approaches that involve no pain and no pressure.

Kinesiology

The gentle muscle test — entirely without needles. Children often experience it as an exciting game and discover for themselves what does and does not do them good.

Homeopathy

Individually selected remedies, usually as globules. Easy to take, even for small children.

Bowen therapy

Gentle, rolling touches over clothing. No sudden movements, no pulling — comfortable for children.

Nutrition & home remedies

What you can do at home: dietary changes, classic compresses and wraps — many of these work particularly well with children.

What I do not do with children: invasive and eliminating methods such as bloodletting, Baunscheidt therapy or varicose vein treatment are reserved for adults; I use acupuncture only very sparingly and after detailed discussion with you and your child.

So your child feels at ease

What the first appointment looks like

1

Time to arrive

The first appointment begins with getting to know each other — no examination, no pressure. Your child may look around, ask questions and decide how close they want to come.

2

Listening — to parents and child

I ask both: you as parents about history, sleep, nutrition and medical findings — and your child, in age-appropriate terms, about their own experience.

3

Deciding together

I explain what I suggest and why. You decide at your own pace — nothing happens over your child's head.

Tip: please bring existing findings from your paediatrician — allergy tests, lab results, the child's health record booklet.

Good to know

What parents often ask

Does this replace the paediatrician?

No — explicitly not. My work is a complement to paediatric care. Routine check-ups, acute illness and anything requiring medical assessment remain with your paediatrician. In case of high fever, severe pain, breathing difficulties or sudden deterioration, please contact your paediatrician or the emergency medical service immediately — in an emergency call 112.

From what age do you treat children?

In principle from infancy — the methods then depend on the age. The younger the child, the gentler the approach, and the more I work through nutrition, daily rhythm and guidance for the parents. With infants and toddlers I coordinate particularly closely with your paediatrician.

Does it hurt? Will my child get needles?

The methods I prefer with children — kinesiology, homeopathy, Bowen therapy — are pain-free. Many children experience the muscle test as a game, and the Bowen moves are done over clothing. Needles are used with children only in exceptional cases and never without prior discussion with you and your child.

How long does an appointment with a child take?

The first appointment takes longer than with adults because getting to know each other needs time. Follow-up appointments are usually shorter — children often respond faster than adults, so fewer sessions are needed. Duration and cost depend on your child's concern; I will discuss both with you transparently before we begin.

Will health insurance cover it for my child?

German statutory health insurance generally does not cover Heilpraktiker services — not for children either. Private health insurance and supplementary policies reimburse in full or in part depending on the tariff; children's tariffs are often cheaper than adults'. It is best to check with your insurer in advance. You will receive an invoice according to the German fee schedule for Heilpraktiker (GebüH).

Does my child have to attend every appointment?

Not always. Some conversations — about dietary changes or family routines, for instance — I prefer to have with you as parents alone. We agree on this beforehand each time.

For you as parents, too

Caring for a child takes strength of your own.

In my workshops "Awakening Your Power" and "Find Your Power Animal" you take a day just for yourself — in nature and indoors, with rituals and energy work. Dates will be announced. (Held in German.)
